You aren't alone. Bringing the right traffic to your website isn't easy. You are competing with millions of websites.  Some of these sites have high page rank, thousands of backlinks, keyword rich domain names, and are highly optimized for search.


If your website isn't bringing the sales you need, there is something you can do to make a significant shift.

There are hundreds of services that offer SEO fixes in one form or another. Some of these techniques can be quite helpful. Yet at some point, most quick fixes turn out to be band-aides that fall off, for they fail to address what lies at the root of the problem.

What is the best approach?

Start with understanding your market. I mean a true understanding of your target audience. What do they want? What words do they use? What topics are they researching?  

If you are going to present yourself as a solution, you'll want to prove that you not only understand, but that you absolutely can provide something tailor made for them. The conversations you create online will need to be focused, precise and empathetic. 

What about keywords?

I no longer offer keyword research, or keyword targeting packages because focusing on keywords is insufficient for attracting and converting ideal clients.  Keywords still matter. It is the process of uncovering keywords that has changed. My approach in surfacing the right words comes from a holistic understanding of "who" is searching.

The bottom line is this, attracting new clients by showing up in organic search takes more than keyword research. At the very core we have to be clear on the following:
  • What do you want to be known for? Specifically.
  • Who are your ideal clients, clearly defined? 
  • What are they trying to achieve or what pains do they want solved?
  • How clearly have you articulated your value proposition { Why would your ideal client want to buy from you? Simply stated. Why you? } 
  • How clearly have you answered your ideal clients questions and how are you meeting their needs through the buying process?
